1/12/22 Happy New Year!

We have been greatly challenged over the past year, the last couple truly, to let go the old that no longer serves and to open to the new, the higher choice, the truth and light of you shining full out. Symbolically, and as a practice here in the 3D world, New Year’s Eve marks a time to celebrate that end of the old, to wipe the slate clean and to embrace a brand new opportunity to become clear on what is and is not serving and what you seek the experience of the New Year to be.

For inspiration on this process, look to our beloved Mother Earth who is experiencing her own birthing process, shedding the old, embracing and integrating the higher light and vibration, opening to the New Earth energy. Choose to shed the old aspects of yourself that do not vibrate at this new higher frequency. Choose to match Mother Earth’s vibration.  Open to the higher wisdom of your soul and know the truth of who you are and what remains in this incarnation for you to do.

Now is the time. This is the place. You are the One to anchor the Universe, the Divine, Source Light, into the physical for in the end that is what each one of us came here to do. With all the celebrating and however you mark your New Year’s Eve, take some time in stillness, standing in your heart, to open to and embrace the vision and experience you seek to have in 2022, Let go and leave behind all that no longer serves to create space for what does. You have freewill and are the master of your own destiny ~ no one else can tell you what is yours is to do so take responsibility for this gift, this birth rite and choose higher. Call on your angels and guides to open to the wisdom and the answers within ~ you are capable of so much more than you realize.

For several years, I have done a New Year’s Eve ritual to support myself in all of this, to call in and connect with what more is possible for me. As I share this with you, I AM reminded of the first year I did this ritual alone in my back yard just before midnight. I was sitting on the bottom step outside the back door when a Skunk emerged from around the corner and stopped no more than a foot from where I sat. We locked eyes and both of us froze. I let go the fear (I’ve been skunked before and it is not pleasant!) and sent love and peace to that little guy and then he slowly sauntered away. I looked up the spirit meaning of a Skunk crossing your path and learned that Skunk symbolism offers you the perfect opportunity to gain self-confidence in your interactions with others, in meeting life’s challenges with a calm and peaceful heart and in respecting yourself on your journey to where you seek to be. This spirit animal symbolizes the importance of being who you are and living authentically without concern for other people’s opinions. Skunk delivers the message that walking your talk is the only way to set the example for others. And then, seven months later, I started this business! Believe me, since that first most powerful experience, I take all this to heart at the close of every year and start the year with this New Year’s Eve ritual that I now offer it to you my beautiful Tribe.

You can do this ritual alone or with others though if you choose to do it in a group, keep it sacred. Only invite in those willing to participate with an open heart. So, here’s the ritual:

On New Year’s Eve (or within the first few days of the year), make a handwritten list of everything that you want to let go of from 2021. The list may include habits, behaviors, limiting beliefs and ideas, fears, physical conditions, feelings of resentment, situations, relationship patterns, conflicts, resistance, or thoughts and ideas that no longer serve.

Extend gratitude and love to each thing on your list for having shared time with you, for all the lessons learned and the ways you have grown from them.

Next declare aloud, “I now let go of all this and all else that no longer serves me and open to the magical, miraculous experience available to me as I step into this new year of 2022.”

Then carefully burn the paper and let the ash scatter to the four corners of the earth. If you don’t have a fireplace, you can CAREFULLY burn it in a large stainless steel bowl, your sink or even tear it up into little bits and flush it. As you are doing this, affirm out loud all that you are grateful for in this past year ~ the good, the bad, the ugly, the joyous experiences and celebratory times, accomplishments and achievements, lessons learned, and all the ways you’ve opened and grown. Offer those to the elements, the fire, the earth, the sky, the water, for the release to be exponentially expanded.

Next make a second handwritten list of all that you seek to call in and have the experience of in 2022, When your list is complete, read and affirm it aloud offering to the elements, to the Universe, the Divine, to Source, all that you welcome in and are willing to embrace and experience in the new year. And then place this sacred list on your alter or under a favorite candle to keep it charged up (and for occasional review!).

Last, extend your arms wide, palms up, heart and head open to the heavens and repeat aloud three times, “I AM open and receptive to all good now.” Then draw your hands together over your head until they almost touch. Feel the energy flowing palm to palm and then draw that energy down into your crown. Lastly bring your palms into prayer position before your heart and talk a moment in gratitude for you.
